Uruguay and Montevideo

Uruguay, a South American gem, is known for its serene landscapes, inclusive society, and a rich cultural heritage that blends European, African, and indigenous influences. With its charming capital city of Montevideo, Uruguay offers a captivating blend of history, modernity, and natural beauty along its picturesque coastline.

Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, is a vibrant coastal metropolis nestled along the shores of the Rio de la Plata. With its historic Ciudad Vieja district, characterized by cobblestone streets and colonial architecture, it pays homage to its colonial past. This bustling city is also known for its inclusive society, rich cultural diversity, and a stunning waterfront promenade, the Rambla, offering breathtaking views and recreational opportunities.

Dear IFTTA member

It is a great pleasure for the Ministry of Tourism of Uruguay to greet you all and begin this relationship with your prestigious forum promoting a positive academic exchange that will surely be very useful for both of us.

The Legal Observatory created by this Ministry has the ongoing tasks of investigating the different comparative law regimes, promoting academic exchange with different universities, as well as developing areas that allow the enrichment of tourism legislation.

In this sense, it will be a great pleasure for our country to receive such distinguished colleagues on the occasion of the Conferences to be held from the 8th - 10th of November in our country.

We especially thank Dr. Julio Facal for putting us in touch and for preparing and coordinating the program of the Conference and subsequent Assembly.

With our best efforts we will be offering the most adequate stage to develop these events successfully, making this opportunity a valuable instance to work and connect with professionals from Latin America and Europe from our sector while enjoying the hospitality of our people and landscapes of our country.

Looking forward to meeting you here,

Best regards,

Ignacio Curbelo

Director General
