The State Department on Sunday issued a travel alert for all of Europe, saying that there is a heightened terrorism threat from al-Qaeda and affiliated organizations. At the same time, the British Foreign Office updated its travel advice for France and Germany. The updated travel advice says that like other large European countries, the French authorities continue to consider that there is a high threat of terrorism, and that like other large European countries, Germany has a high threat of terrorism.
