Uta Stenzel

Dr. Uta Stenzel is a German lawyer specializing in Travel Law and International Law. She works as research assistant at Rostock University and as attorney at law.

Dr. Stenzel wrote her doctoral thesis on U.S. American and European Travel Law. She researched her thesis at New York University, School of Law, and in San Francisco at the Law Office of Alexander Anolik, where she interned.

Dr. Stenzel obtained her law degree from Rostock University, Germany. She also studied at the University of Surrey, Guildford, England, and participated in an International Study Abroad Law program in Nice, France.

She served her legal clerkship at the District Court of Dortmund, Higher District Court of Hamm, in North Rhine-Westphalia where she passed the German bar exam. During her time as legal clerk, she interned at the Law Office of Bernard Petrie in San Francisco, USA, focusing on American litigation and trust law.

Dr. Stenzel is a member of the Bar Association Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, and a member of the German Travel Law Association DGfR. She is also an editor of the Journal for European Environmental and Planning Law - EuRUP (Zeitschrift für Europäisches Umwelt- und Plannungsrecht).

Dr. Stenzel is the IFTTA Treasurer, a director of the IFTTA Board and member of the IFTTA Communication and Technology Committee.
