Maria Goretti Sanches Lima
In 1992, Maria Goretti Sanches Lima received her attorney license from the Bar Association of Sao Paulo re the B.S. Major in Law from FMU – School of Law, and later served has an adjunct professor in law in some universities, covering at least but not last: hospitality, international trade, legal aspects of business of tourism, law for business administration, tourist marketing and ecotourism.
Following her graduation, she received the B.S. Major in Business Administration from Mackenzie University in 1995 and finished a postgraduate course from PUC Sao Paulo in 2004 in regard to administrative law. In 2010, she received her LL.M from the same PUC Sao Paulo, School of Law, focusing the study on the Brazilian Federal Statute of Tourism. Presently she devotes a portion of her time to a doctorate course in Germany addressed to travel and tourism law. Prior to entering the academic career she worked at Citibank Brazil branch, legal department, and has worked in a partnership law firm since 1996. In addition, in 2010, she was an external collaborator to the Feasibility study for the establishment and maintenance of an Intelligence gathering system on legal and institutional aspects of tourism, powered by UNWTO. She is a Board Member of the IFTTA having co-organized in 2009 the 21st IFTTA Annual Conference in Brazil.
