About You: Maria Goretti Sanches Lima is attorney at law in Brazil since 1992 having worked as lecturer at some universities in: tourist accommodation, international trade, tourism business and legal liability, law for business administration, and tourist marketing. She is graduated in B.S. Major in Business Administration (1995), expert in Administrative Law from PUC Sao Paulo (2004), and concluded the LL.M in Public Law (2010) by PUC Sao Paulo School of Law, focusing the study on the National Tourism Statute enacted in 2008. Presently she devotes a portion of her time to a doctorate course in Germany addressed to European and Brazilian Travel and Tourism Law. Prior to entering the academic career she worked in the legal department at Citibank Brazil branch, and has worked in a partnership law firm since 1996. In 2010, she worked as an external collaborator at the World Tourism Organization-UNWTO. Subsequently, (2012) in a working group of experts she carried out part of a Study on Digital Content products in the EU awarded to IBF by the DG Health and Consumers, European Commission, covering all 27 EU Member States . She is a Board Member of the IFTTA, having co-organized in 2009 the 21st IFTTA Annual Conference in Brazil, which currently meets the IFTTA Brazil Section.
