In November 2011 the Dean of the School of Law, of the University of Buenos Aires(Argentina) approved a Resolution creating a Tourist Law Observatory whose Director is Graciela Güidi.

This organization is a program whose purposes are to develop academic studies, researches, document compilation as well as to participate in different projects for the improvement of tourism in Argentina.

The activities include, among others, to promote the relationship with Universities all over the world through cooperation agreements to develop studies and projects.

The Observatory is composed of Professors of the Tourism Postgraduate Program and present and future postgraduates lawyers (some of whom are members of IFTTA).

The Observatory will be aided by a Consulting Academic Committee composed of Professors of the University of Buenos Aires and foreign professors specially invited.

The Observatory was presented at the School of Law on April 26th in a ceremony with many enthusiastic participants. We now are preparing a Federal Digest of Tourism Law in Argentina, and the first conference was on June 21st.

It will be interesting that the Observatory may contact, in the future, with others Professors of IFTTA and their Universities.
