National Tourism Administrations (NTAs)

The central or federal government body with administrative responsibility for tourism at the highest level. The NTA prepares the national tourism policy in coordination with other policies, notably economic, social or environmental. The policy is developed in consultation with the representatives of professional trade associations and regional or local tourism representatives. The national tourism policy establishes the main objectives, strategies and actions required with the aim of preparing a general framework that is conducive to sustainable tourism development.
